What is FORMULA 18?

FORMULA 18 Plant Based Reinforcement Additive is a unique approach to hair strengthening and reinforcement. Unlike products that require multiple steps and are comprised of polymer-based resins, we have selected specific plant-based ingredients for their genetic characteristics and amino acid structures.

Distilled Tamarind Extract
Maintains cuticle health which keeps the hair shiny, healthy and the cuticle layers compact ensuring your chemical services last longer.
Pea Peptide Protein
Pea Peptide Protein is a complete source of amino acids and promotes healthy hair, scalp and skin. This helps to reinforce the hair structure.
Resurrection Plant
This plants remarkable ability to virtually regenerate itself after years of being dormant made this ingredient a key component to the product. It has intense moisturizing benefits and helps repair damage.

Usage:

SERVICES Amount of FORMULA 18 per 1 oz of product Yield amount of services per 10 oz bottle Additional Directions
COLOR 1/32 oz
1 gram
4-5 drops		 320 Add 1/32 oz or 1 gram or 2-3 drops of FORMULA 18 Additive to color formulation.
BLEACH/PERM/RELAXERS 1/16 oz
2 grams
4-5 drops		 160 Add 1/16 oz or 2 gram or 4-5 drops of FORMULA 18 Additive to mixture.
EXPRESS TREATMENT 1/8 oz 80 Add 1/8 oz FORMULA 18 to conditioner at the backbar, leave 3-5 mins, rinse and style.
DEEP CONDITIONING TREATMENT 1/4 oz 40 Add 1/4 oz FORMULA 18 to Mask or Deep Conditioner, leave under dryer for 15-20 mins and rinse.
STAND ALONE TREATMENTS 1/2 oz
(+3 oz of water)		 20 Add 1/2 oz FORMULA 18 to 3 oz of water at the backbar, leave in for 10 mins, rinse, condition hair and rinse.

*The amount of FORMULA 18 needed depends on the amount of Color/Bleach/Perm/Relaxer being used prior to adding developers or processing agents.
